History
The Cyprus Surgical Society was founded in 1964.
This year marks its 60th anniversary, a significant milestone in the Society’s history which is commemorated by the launch of its’ new website.
The Board of Directors aims, through this new initiative, to actively engage the Society’s members and foster a stronger sense of community. Our goal is to truly become the leading scientific hub for surgeons in Cyprus, where knowledge, expertise, and collaboration are at the forefront of advancing surgical practice and improving healthcare outcomes across the country.

Our Mission
The mission of the Cyprus Surgical Society is to contribute to the education and continuous training of surgeons, particularly the younger generation of surgeons, and to protect the interests of surgeons while enhancing and promoting their work.
Additionally, the Society is committed to modernising its statutes for better functionality.
Through our website, we aim to facilitate the exchange of scientific articles, opinions, knowledge, and experiences.
We hope it will serve as a platform where the surgical community of Cyprus can interact with society and amongst themselves.
Our Vision
Our vision is for the Cyprus Surgical Society to publicise our actions, scientific knowledge, and the expertise of our members to society.
We believe that continuous communication with our members is of paramount importance to achieving this goal.
We trust that the Society’s website will significantly contribute to keeping everyone informed about the latest developments in surgery and technology.
We are striving for continuous improvement of the website to make it more functional and hope it will become an open channel of communication where the Society’s work will be showcased, and constructive opinions, observations, and suggestions from members will be submitted to assist the Board in its mission.
This endeavour is a challenging one and it involves all of us, so we invite you to embrace this effort.
